Jonathan Miller's Housing Notes

Jonathan Miller is a State Certified Appraiser, preforming appraisals in both New York & Connecticut. He is one of the most widely known appraisers not only in New York, but in the country.  Jonathan is president of Miller Samuel, Inc., a real estate appraisal and consulting firm he established in 1986. Jonathan writes a weekly blog covering up to date information and informative statistical charts reflecting housing trends for the New York market as well as other markets around the country including South Florida, Los Angeles and Aspen, Colorado for Douglas Elliman Real Estate. 

Sacramento Appraisal Blog

Ryan Lundquist is a Certified Residential Appraiser located in Sacramento, California. He has been appraising full time since 2003. He writes a weekly blog that offers a lot of excellent information and insight into the appraisal profession and real estate in general. He also offers regular market updates on housing trends in the Sacramento area. He is a public speaker who regularly speaks on topic related to what's going on in the market in his area. He is also a board member of the Real Estate Appraiser's Association of Sacramento. Ryan is known for his market knowledge and for being able to communicate well with other professionals. He has a large following on his blog and on other social media.

Birmingham Appraisal Blog

Tom Horn is a Certified Residential Appraiser located in Birmingham, Alabama. He began appraising in 1990 and offers extensive experience in the appraisal profession. He holds an SRA designation with the Appraisal Institute. He speaks publicly to professional groups regarding appraisal related topics and he writes a regular blog covering things taking place in the real estate profession as well as market updates for the Birmingham area. He offers a positive yet straight forward and transparent approach to real estate. His testimonials are impressive and speak volumes about what a great appraiser he is.

Shannon Slater is a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in the Dallas, Texas area. Her and her husband David are the owners of DW Slater Company. She has been appraising since 2006 and is a member of the National Association of Appraisers and the Association of Texas Appraisers. She writes a regular blog related to important topics regarding real estate appraising and provides regular market updates on what's going on in the Dallas area  

The Noble Appraiser

Lori Noble is a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in West Virginia who is an industry leader in the appraisal profession.  She is a graduate of Real Estate Studies from Forbes School of Business and an SRA designated member of the Appraisal Institute. Lori founded her appraisal practice in 1996 and today serves as Vice President of the WV Council of Appraisal Professionals representing West Virginia. Lori is affectionately referred to by Phil Crawford as the 'First Lady of Valuation and the Queen of Twitter'. She is also known for her public speaking at events to promote our industry and to help appraisers better understand regulations and legislative changes that impact the industry.

Ann O'Rourke, MAI, SRA, is a practicing fee appraiser in California. Ann has been appraising for over 40 years. She has been publishing Appraisal Today since 1992. Ann offers great perspectives on our profession with a positive approach to appraising. Appraisal Today is a free weekly article. There is also a paid version that offers additional articles and information.

George Dell, SRA, MAI, ASA, CRE is a Certified General appraiser that offers a free weekly blog where he shares excellent information regarding data analyses and recommendations that can help appraisers think outside the box when it comes to data and analyzing it. He also teaches appraisal classes across the country.  His website also offers some free information that can be useful to appraisers and the general public.

Ann Arbor Appraisal Blog

Rachael Massey, SRA, AI-RRS is a Certified Residential appraiser in Ann Arbor, MI. Rachael is an AQB Certified USPAP instructor who has been appraising since 1989. She offers appraisals for divorce, estates, trust, bankruptcy, litigation, relocation, buy/sell negotiation and more. She writes excellent articles that are utilized by appraisal organizations, magazines and lenders.

Bryan Lynch is a Certified Real Estate Appraiser out of the Sacramento, California area. He has worked with many top lenders and real estate professionals in the industry. He writes a regular blog covering issues related to real estate and appraising. He has always placed quality of work and excellent communication with his clients as a priority. He is VA and FHA approved. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree from Sacramento State University.

Joseph Lynch is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser based out of the Woodland, California area. He also covers Yolo, Solano, Colusa & Sacramento Counties. He has expertise in appraising complex homes, homes with acreage and small income properties. Joseph Graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Economics and Mathematics minor. He also an active member of the Real Estate Appraiser's Association (REAA) where he is the president of the Sacramento chapter and corporate webmaster.
